Why Do People Dream

Why do people dream? This human need is vital to help find success in your life. Knowing what you want or where you want to be in the next 5 to 10 years is key to your success principle. I am not talking about wishful thinking as this will get you nowhere. Dream building is a process. Listing all the things that you really want. Finding those deep seated thoughts that mean something to you.

There is a magic of thinking big with dream building and not thinking of how to do it at this stage. Eliminate any negative thoughts of reason or practicality and let your imagination flow. Do you remember how you dreamed back when you were a child before you became realistic, sensible and practical? Yes you can do this, open your mind be positive. You can choose to make a difference.

The Challenge

Can you imagine that I have just given you one million pounds? Yes one million pounds on one condition. My condition is that you have to spend all of it in one day. What would you spend it on. Make a list and write it down. I'm sure you realise this is just an exercise but hopefully you get the idea of the purpose of dreams.

List Your Dreams

It is now that I say you need to take action. Make your list of dreams. Write them down and spend time with them every day. To find success in your life you need to have a reason why and something you want.

How about a trip to Australia, New Zealand or Fiji. Visit the Grand Canyon, California or New York. England is green or an Anguilla beach is hot. A Motor home or a Harley Davison to go where you want or a sailing boat to explore the Mediterranean. Maybe you wish for something more down to earth like loosing weight or just stop smoking. Maybe you want to be your own boss and start your own business. Maybe it is going online with your own website (see Online Business Success Tips ) to help you make all the things you want happen. By now I hope you know the answer to: "why do people dream?"

The Next Step in Why do People Dream

Hopefully you are much closer in having a list of what you want. The most important step you must do is to write them down. Yes on a piece of paper or even better on a 3 x 5 card. This is so you can spend time with them every day.

I am assuming by now you have your list of dreams written down on a 3 x 5 card. Yes? Great, let's move to the next important step of planning your future. Humans are goal oriented animals, we need goals to find success in our lives. Why do people dream? To turn them into goals.
